Our founders set up Forever Independent having witnessed the low standards of care offered by many other providers. Across the industry many homecare services offer little if any formal training to their team and as a result, clients are often viewed as a list of needs or a medical condition, rather than as unique individuals. Care is delivered with a lack of time and attention and consequently the person's full practical and emotional needs are not met. Further, low motivation across the workforce means that there is often a high staff turnover, which results in little consistancy for those being cared for.
We are a friendly local business that prides itself in delivering personally tailored care to each of our customers. All care is person-centred, taking into account each client's needs, preferences and strengths and giving them the opportunity to make informed decisions about their own treatment.
Our care staff are personally recruited by our co-founder Sam Woolley who has over 15 years of care experience herself and understands the qualities required to excel in the role: a genuine concern for others, the ability to listen and empower the person receiving support, the need to be conscientious and dependable, and above all, the determination to make a positive difference to someone's life. We run a programme of continuous training for every member of our team and motivate each member to achieve qualifications as testament to their knowledge and experience.
